ITBS Test Prep for 4th graders

Practice! Review! Practice! Inviting 4th graders to join the ITBS session to help ace the SUMMA eligibility testing in Fall 2017. Our involved personalized test practice sessions focus on test taking skills and developing familiarity with the test materials while reviewing and sharpening Math concepts and comprehension skills.

ITBS Math Gr 4 : September 17, 24 October 1, 8, 22, 29

Course Fee: $150 for Math 

Timing: 2:30- 3:30 pm (Math)

ITBS English Gr 4 : September 17, 24 October 1, 8, 22, 29

Course Fee: $150 for English 

Timing: 3:30-4:30 pm (English)

Learning Python: A Game Approach

Coding has become one of the quintessential skills today.  Hence, inspiring and training young minds to code is of utmost importance.  Python is widely used language and we have designed a course that will introduce coding via simple games.  This is an introductory course in programming and no prior computer experience is required to enroll in the course.  Kids will be required to bring their own laptops.

System Requirements:  Windows 7 and above installed laptops

Dates: July 24th - July 28th (Every day)

Grades: 5 and above

Course Fee: $150 for Math 

Timing: 4:45- 5:45 pm (Math)

ITBS English Gr 5-Session A: Aug 1, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24

Course Fee: $150 for English 

Timing: 5:45- 6:45 pm (English)

Session B of ITBS Prep: Crash Course

Math Gr 5 ITBS- Session B: 1.5 hour each day

Timing: Aug 29 (9:30-11 am); Aug 30- Sept 1: (8:45- 10:15 am)

Eng ITBS Gr 5- Session B: 1.5 hour each day

Timing: Aug 29 (11 am -12:30 pm); Aug 30- Sept 1: (10:20 am – 11: 50 am)

Price: $150 each or $300 if taken both

Bridge to AGS1

Designed for middle schoolers who would like to get a head start in MATH, this camp offers a solid foundation of AGS1. It is a rigorous course with challenging Mathematical concepts. This camp is for students who have finished Accerlerated Level 7/8 Math. Every week new topic will be covered, and weekly homework will be provided. This class is also suitable for students who wants to brush up their current skills.

Dates: July 10,17, 24, 31  August 7, 14 (Every Monday for 6 weeks)

Grades: 6 and above

Hours: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Price: $155

 

Bridge to AGS2

Designed for advanced middle schoolers who would like to get a head start in ALGEBRA, this camp offers a solid foundation of AGS2. It is a rigorous course with challenging Algebraic concepts. This camp is for students who have finished AGS1. Every week new topic will be covered, and weekly homework will be provided. This class is also suitable for students who wants to brush up their current skills.

Dates: July 12,19, 26 August 2, 9, 16 (Every Wednesday for 6 weeks)

Grades: 8 and above

Hours: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm | Price: $165

 

 

Bridge to STEM Chemistry

Designed for advanced middle schoolers who would like to get a head start in Chemistry, this camp offers a good preview of STEM Chemistry. It is a rigorous course with challenging scientific and mathematical (includes algebraic) concepts. This camp is for students with at least two years of Middle School Science. Every week new topic will be covered, and weekly homework will be provided. 

Dates: July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10 (Every Thursday for 5 weeks) 

Grades: 8 and above 

Hours: 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm | Price: $185

 

 

 

Summer Chess Club

Chess helps to teach important lessons including problem solving, critical thinking, sportsmanship, patience and goal setting -- plus, it is fun! Chess Club is a perfect way to introduce the game of chess to new students, strengthen the understanding of the game for players, and offer intensive instruction to help guide students through each session. This class is suitable for new students as well as those who want to brush up their current skills. Each session is designed to provide opportunities for practicing these skills through short workshops with classmates under the observation of experienced Middle and High school students who have played and won several awards at National level tournaments.
